Diego & Britney: A Great Start To The Season

This past weekend marked my first horse show of the 2026 season, and it couldn’t have
been a better way to kick things off. I was excited to attend the NBHA Canada show in
Trout Creek, and even more excited to get Diego back in the arena after some time
away from competition.

I’m proud to say that Diego exceeded my expectations all weekend. For his first show
back, he felt focused, confident, and ready to work. We put together several strong runs
and even managed to beat some of our personal best times in the Trout Creek arena.
Seeing his progress and consistency was incredibly rewarding and gave me a lot of
confidence heading into the rest of the season.

Horse shows are always a team effort, and I’m grateful for everyone who helped make
the weekend a success. A special thank you goes to New Start Standardbreds for their
sponsorship and support. Their commitment to helping riders and horses succeed is
greatly appreciated, and I’m proud to represent them throughout the season.

While there is always room for improvement, this weekend was a fantastic reminder of
why I love this sport. The competition was great, the atmosphere was welcoming, and it
was wonderful to reconnect with fellow riders after the off-season.

With a successful first show now behind us, I’m feeling motivated and excited for what
lies ahead. Diego showed me that he’s ready for the challenge, and I’m looking forward
to building on this momentum as we travel to more events throughout the summer.

Thank you to NBHA Canada for hosting a great event in Trout Creek, and thank you
again to New Start Standardbreds for their continued support. Here’s to many more
miles, memories, and fast runs in 2026!
