ADOPTION APPLICATION

Interested in adopting one of our amazing Standardbreds? Our adoption process is designed to ensure the best match between horse and adopter, creating a harmonious and lasting relationship. Here's how it works:

Application Submission: Begin by completing our comprehensive adoption application. This form helps us understand your experience, lifestyle, and the type of equine companion you're seeking. It's crucial in finding the perfect match so we hope that you will be as thorough as possible! Please not that we do not adopt out for broodmare purposes and all Standardbreds go under a non racing, non breeding agreement upon adoption.

Meet-and-Greet: Once we receive your application, our team will review it thoroughly. Please note that this process could take up to 72 hours if you have not previously connected with us prior to submission of your application. If you meet our initial criteria, we'll arrange a meet-and-greet. This is an opportunity for you to spend time with the horse, allowing both of you to get to know each other.

Home Visit: A home visit may be scheduled to ensure your property is suitable for the specific needs of the horse you're interested in. We want to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for your new equine companion. Because our program covers a vast area, the majority of our home visits are completed virtually - through you providing us with photos and video of your property!

Adoption Agreement: Upon final approval, we'll guide you through the adoption agreement, detailing the responsibilities of both parties. This includes care, veterinary needs, and any post-adoption check-ins.

Post-Adoption Support: Our commitment doesn't end with the adoption. We offer ongoing support, advice, and resources to ensure a smooth transition and a fulfilling life for both you and your new equine companion.

Adopting an equine friend is a wonderful and rewarding experience. Our adoption process is designed to facilitate a seamless journey towards creating a lasting and loving partnership between you and your new four-legged family member.
